Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is a classroom-based, instructor-led program that uses video, case-based scenarios, and simulated cardiac emergencies to reinforce systematic patient assessment, ACLS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.

This course ensures healthcare providers meet established standards for managing cardiopulmonary arrest, acute arrhythmias, stroke, and other cardiovascular emergencies.

  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification

Only AHA certifications are accepted.
St. Joseph’s Health does not recognize certifications from any other organization.


Required Pre-Course Self-Assessment

All participants must:

  • Complete the official online pre-course self-assessment

  • Achieve a minimum passing score of 80%

  • Print proof of completion

  • Printed pre-course self-assessment results (score ≥ 80%)

  • Current AHA BLS certification card
