This course is designed for healthcare professionals who need to renew their two-year Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The AHA's BLS Course focuses on the crucial skills necessary to respond to life-threatening cardiac emergencies. Participants will learn both single-rescuer and team-based BLS techniques, with a particular focus on performing high-quality CPR and fostering effective team dynamics in an in-facility setting.

If you need to reschedule, you must notify us as soon as possible.
Participants who fail to attend without prior notice (“no-shows”) will not be permitted to register for another course date and will be required to obtain certification through an outside vendor.
Participants must register for a class scheduled no more than 45 days prior to their current certification expiration date.
Prerequisites
The following are required and will be verified at check-in:
Only AHA certifications are accepted.
St. Joseph’s Health does not recognize certifications from any other organization.
BLS Manual Availability:
The BLS manual will be provided to students at check-in and is also available for pickup in advance at the Hospital Library.

Non-Employees:
The BLS Provider Manual must be purchased independently prior to class.
Dress Code Policy
St. Joseph’s Health employees must comply with the organization’s dress code policy while attending class.
