Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that emphasizes the importance of team dynamics, communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. The course also covers airway management and related pharmacology.
Participants will learn through a combination of large group sessions and small group learning/testing stations, with case-based scenarios to reinforce the skills being taught.
This initial two-day course is intended for individuals who have never taken ACLS before or whose certification has expired. Participants must attend both consecutive days to successfully complete the course.

- St. Joseph's Health ONLY recognizes AHA certifications—no exceptions.
Pre-Course Self-Assessment Requirement:
All students are required to complete the online pre-course self-assessment with a score of 70% or higher.
